A GOOD FIRST TIME IN TYLDESLEY

Last night we were invited to give a talk on our policies and introduce ourselves in a pub in Tyldesley, a town I have to admit we have neglected until now.

It is a real turn up when we are invited to speak rather than pleading for a room, but that situation is becoming more common, so much so that I have been unable to visit many of the venues to which we have been invited.
It was good to present our policies to people who had not seen us in person before and I think the meeting went well with many seeing our party in a new light and not through the distorted mirror of the mainstream media.

Although I think we converted several people I can not claim to have converted all there.
It was interesting and pleasurable to discuss in a friendly way with people with opposing points of views, similar to a game of Ping Pong, tossing ideas across the net , sometimes disagreeing but conducting the "game" in a friendly manner rather than the inane chants we often get from the state sponsored UAF.
This is how politics should be conducted and those who can only shout insults are defeated before they have opened their mouths.

We will continue these satellite meetings in the future, planting the seeds of a BNP surge even ater the election.
Our party needs to be there when the inevitable s**t hits the fan in the next few months and the inevitable austerity measures to correct the disaster which faces us and in which the three main parties have been complicit.
People will see that we need REAL change and our aim is to be there waiting to take up the challenge.

Other than that the response to our campaign has been unlike anything I have experienced in my 8 years membership of the party. Hopefully it will turn into votes on May 6th.
Unfortunately we have not been able to comprehensively leaflet all our areas as our support has grown quicker than our limited resources can at present match. We have not the backing of non dom millionaires nor Marxist unions and we must face the state sponsored thugs of the UAF but make no mistake we will overcome these difficulties and continue to grow in efficiency, assets and organisation.

Why? Because we have dedicated people who BELIEVE in our cause and we have the adrenalin flowing in our veins owing to our progress and the discomfiture of our opponents.

A BIGOT EXPOSED

As a BNP organiser of course it goes without saying that I am not a bigot and believe in tolerance for the beliefs of others. I can not tolerate irrational beliefs and the opinion that there is only one point of view.

Today in Rochdale a bigot was exposed, our soon to be deposed Prime Minister.
Gordon Brown on being asked sensible questions on economics, education and the NHS by a long standing Labour supporter got in his car and called her a bigot. The lady seemed to know her facts but why she was still until then a Labour supporter is a mystery as she obviously could see the flaws in Brown's policies.
Now the Oxford English Dictionary defines a bigot as "an obstinate and unreasonable adherant of a religious or other opinion. An intolerant or narrow minded person"
Does that just sum up Gordon Brown and for that matter the other "main" political parties.
Disagree with them and they call you a bigot. The Tories and Limp Dems are just as bigoted.
Some questions it seems are beyond the pale and must not be discussed even though they are of utmost importance to most people, like the economy, jobs and immigration.
Immigration is a definite no no. We are not allowed to mention it even though parts of our major cities do not resemble British cities any more.
The people's opinions must be suppressed with draconian laws that make it a crime even to complain at the loss of our way of life.
Jack Straw even had the idea that expressing a politically incorrect opinion even in ones own home should be a crime, a policy reminiscent of Nazi Germany or Stalinist Russia.
That proposal was dropped as one measure too far but the fact that it was thought about just shows the mindset of those who AT PRESENT rule us.

The excuse used by Brown's accolytes that it should not have been transmitted fits ill with the prosecution of Nick Griffin being secretly recorded at a private meeting and then prosecuted.
When Nick was cleared Brown said he would change the law so un PC thoughts and statements could be criminalised.

The worst part of this revealing episode for me was the hypocrisy of it all.

"How nice to meet you. What a nice family", and a few seconds later calling this lady who had praised him a bigot.

When a man shows his supporters such disrespect, how much more much contempt must he show those with whom he disagrees?

He shows he and his party is using the people for their own ends, and is a hypocrit and a liar. His apology was because he was found out.

The Tories and Limp Dems are no different. You can see the shallowness of their walk abouts and the staged element of them, but they have not been caught out to the same degree YET.

SOME GOOD NEWS.

I have been busy answering enquiries from people anxious to hear our views and been welcomed enthusiastically by all those I contacted. In the 6 years I have been in this job I have never experienced such enthusiasm or had so many calls.
There is a sea change in British politics and even though we may fail to breakthrough this time before long we will take our rightful place as the only honest party in British politics.

WE REALLY ARE ON OUR WAY.

DO WE TRUST THE PRESS?

Here's a couple of interesting comments I've picked up on the web this morning:

"Oddly enough I had lunch with a journo today, legal not political (works for the Times) from what he's been hearing from colleagues and pollsters Labours position is being vastly overstated, raw numbers have them at circa 20%, less in some places. "

" Say people, in their general disillusionment, were now responding more openly about their voting intentions, especially if they intended to vote for the BNP. I wonder what pressures might be brought to bear on the polling organisations to suppress that information lest it encourage les autres horribles and caused a mighty whitey stampede, and exactly how those pressures would translate into the published 'results'. "

" les autres horribles" (the horrible others - i.e. us), and  "mighty whitey" ... hahahahahahahahaha - like 'em.

Also might explain the utter lack of deference from the journalists involved in yesterday's press conference with Snakeslime, Balls and his tart??

I'll dig the vid of it out and post it later.

UPDATE: here's the vid - well worth watching, especially all the patronising from Snakeslime:

WIGAN, MAKERFIELD AND LEIGH MANIFESTO

As our leaflets are now being delivered for the General Election and people directed to our blog, here are a few of our opinions of what is wrong with our country and our methods of redressing 50 years of misgovernment. There was not enough space on the leaflet to elaborate our policies and this I will do here and in the next few days. This is the reason for promoting our blog on the main leaflets.
It also will give people a way of putting their points and asking questions which all are invited to do, so long as the debate is conducted in a civilised constructive way.

All the three main parties talk about "change" while all having the same policies.

WE WILL NOT RECOVER UNTIL THERE IS REAL CHANGE and we have a government which puts Britain and it's people before all else.
For too long the interests of international capitalism have been put before those of our people and country. The other parties are all just as culpable and the Tory and Lib Dem leaders stem from banking families while senior Labour politicians are also in their thrall.

THE COSTS OF LABOUR AND TORY GOVERNMENTS

WE ARE OVER £ 1 TRILLION IN DEBT thanks to the incompetence of the Labour and Tory governments.

WE HAVE SOLD MOST OF OUR NORTH SEA OIL .WE ARE A NET FUEL IMPORTER for the first time in our history, AS WE HAVE CLOSED MOST OF OUR PITS.

WE HAVE SOLD MOST of our manufacturing industries to countries such as China and India.

IMMIGRATION HAS MADE US THE MOST DENSELY POPULATED COUNTRY IN EUROPE and we are projected to be a MINORITY in our own land in 30 years.

THE EU costs us £60 billion per year and further £billions in regulatory costs

OUR SOLDIERS ARE DYING in an illegal war, which costs
£billions and the lives of hundreds of British soldiers and thousands of deaths of innocent Afghans.

WE ARE TO BE TAXED in the “Carbon Credit” scam which will put our industries at a disadvantage while subsidising China and India. Pensioners will be left to FREEZE in winter, AND YET we give foreign aid to these countries which can afford space programmes.

WHAT WOULD THE BRITISH NATIONAL PARTY DO?

OUR POLICIES.

END THE AFGHAN WAR NOW and save countless lives, both British soldiers and Afghan people, and--
BRING OUR TROOPS HOME.

EXIT THE EU. WE JOINED THE “COMMON MARKET” not the EU. The price of membership is too high.
We import far more from them than they do from us.
Norway and Switzerland are prosperous outside the EU.

A COMPLETE HALT TO IMMIGRATION. Do the other parties really believe that we lack the skills to be taxi drivers and care assistants? If so it does not say much about the education system. DO WE WANT TO BE A MINORITY in 30 years? We will be the way things are going.

CUT OUT THE GREEDY BANKERS, who have ruined our country. SET UP A NATIONAL BANK, with the profits going to the people and NOT THESE PARASITES, and then we can afford to cut interest rates and taxes and--

REGENERATE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY, and ban British owned industries and assets being sold abroad.

STOP FOREIGN AID. China and India have more money than we have and own much of our industries. Other recipients are tin pot dictators and the money does not get to the people in need. Our "help" more often than not makes things worse.

INCREASE STATE PENSIONS TO £150 PER WEEK.

AND KEEP BRITAIN BRITISH!
It’s ours,and belongs to US

AND FINALLY. OUR THREE CANDIDATES ARE ALL LOCAL PEOPLE.

WE ARE NOT STANDING to use our area as are the others BUT TO FIGHT FOR THE JUSTICE THAT THE PEOPLE OF WIGAN & LEIGH HAVE LONG BEEN DENIED.
We will not be bound by any party whip. We will always put the interests of OUR AREA first.

THE MOCKERY OF CHRISTIANITY BY THE ESTABLISHMENT.

Is it a surprise that the insulting New Labour ideas for the Popes visit to Britain was concocted by a FOREIGNER not of the CATHOLIC FAITH.

Anjoum Noorani, the diplomat who has been disciplined over a Foreign Office memo mocking the Pope.
The Establishment is now jam packed full of Asians mainly of the Muslim faith, an ANTI-CHRISTIAN FAITH.
These are the people who are running, sorry, RUINING our country.
WHY ?
Because like New Labour they are an ENEMY TO BRITAIN AND HER PEOPLE.

These TRAITORS have been put in major positions of power in this country and New Labour has embedded them in ALL HIGH POSITIONS OF AUTHORITY.
The sooner the BNP get elected the sooner this sort of scum will be removed from office and repatriated to their MOTHER COUNTRIES.

"
Anjoum Noorani, 31, was the leader of the Papal Visit Team which drew up a document suggesting the Pope should launch his own range of “Benedict” condoms, open an abortion clinic and stay in a council flat in Bradford.

Mr Noorani, whose identity has until now remained secret, was moved to “other duties” after he gave authorisation for the memo to be sent to Downing Street and three Whitehall departments." [...]

The memo, which also called for the Pope to bless a homosexual marriage, was emailed around Whitehall by Steven Mulvain, a 23-year-old Oxford graduate who describes his sexual orientation on a social networking website as “gay”.

Senior members of the church have described Mr Noorani and his team as having “not the slightest understanding of Catholicism”. None of the four-strong group is thought to be a practising Catholic.

THE HUSTINGS

The election process hots up.

I've had the leaflets for the Labour Tory and Independent candidates for Makerfield.

The Labour candidate Yvonne Fovargue, a good old Wigan name that is endorsed by "Wiganer" our illustrious retiring "local" MP.
Now that's a surprise. Who would have thought it?
Her leaflet says she went to university and has worked most of her life in the charity sector.

So no proper job then in spite of her education.
She says she will always be Makerfield's representitive in Westminster. So she has a job for life, parachuted in by the Labour hierarchy.
Not if we can help it. I bet she had never heard of Makerfield six months ago.

The Tory candidate Itrat Ali, (another local name) but much more pleasant and seemingly a nicer person than Ms Fovargue, has also been chosen to show Camerons "diverse" credentials and has been imposed in a test to see if she is good enough for preferrment.
I suppose if she does not get in as she won't she could be made a baroness like the gobby Baroness Warsi who also rose without trace to the Lords.
Her leaflet shows her at various places round the Makerfield constituency (presumably she had a sat nav to find her way about) spouting the usual vacuous Tory plattitudes.

Anyhow last night there was a "hustings" at Hindley Parish Church and these two were joined by my brother's namesake John Mather whose leaflet seems more like a job application, although as a physics graduate he is obviously more intelligent than the other two, and his unemployed status is a mystery.
A notable absence on the invites list was our candidate for Makerfield Ken Haslam who has lived and worked in the area for over 65 years.
I am told that a hustings should legally invite all contestants and although the churches are against our Christian party it is a moot point whether they were breaking the law.
Not to be deterred 4 of our members sat in the audience and when the vicar was asked by Mr Haslam if all men were equal before God why was he denied a platform.
Of course the vicar, more used to preaching to his diminishing flock without being challenged was somewhat discomfited. There was shock in the audience when Ken announced his party allegience.

He asked Ms (I presume she is a Ms, she's Labour) why she had been parachuted into an erstwhile safe Labour seat in spite of knowing nothing about the area. This of course was an unwelcome question which she could not answer.
Mrs Ali (she will be Mrs she's a Tory) was asked the same question. The racist rejoinder was easily countered when it was pointed out that she had been brought up in Yorkshire and that was why the question was posed.

With Ken were another 3 stalwarts, our secretary Tony Farrell, Morgan and Barry Longstaff

Tony asked about their attitude to abortion and stated that we would not need immigration if more British childeren were born.

The trouble with the electoral system is that the major parties USE US in their struggle for dominance.
The local people get no choice. It is imposed on them.

After the meeting Mr Haslam went to shake hands with those on the panel in the usual civilised way of our party.

Mrs Ali was very friendly as was the vicar and Mr Mather.
However Ms Fovargue or whatever her name is refused even this show of politeness when people of different opinions can debate in a civilised way. SO NOT MUCH CHARITY THERE THEN.
She will go a long way in the Labour Party and if they ever get power again will fit in nicely with the other Labour harridan cabinet ministers.
LET'S HOPE IT NEVER HAPPENS!

Labour really is the "Nasty Party" or is it that they just attract nasty women?

Three Horse Nightmare

Three-horse race to a supranational nightmare

By Gerald Warner, Scotsman. Published Date: 25 April 2010

CHOICE is a luxury that is no longer on offer to British voters. The identical programmes of the three main political parties have effectively created a one-party state. It is the great irony of this general election that the expansion of the traditional two-horse race into a three-horse contest has brought not the slightest philosophical broadening of the electoral landscape.

It would be more accurate to say that Labour, Conservatives and Liberal Democrats share a homogenous culture. It is possible to detect slight differences in their respective agendas – the Liberal Democrats’ dissent from the Iraq War would be one instance but these are purely tactical variations in the implementation of a common political culture that Gordon Brown once described as “the Progressive Consensus”. When the advent of David Cameron as Conservative leader absorbed even the Tory Party into that consensus, multi-party democracy became history.

This did not simply happen: it was engineered. Nor is it a British phenomenon; if anything, Britain is a latecomer to a post-democratic political system that is propagated by the European Union as well as, at global level, by the United Nations. It is a necessary precursor to world government, the ultimate objective of the Progressive Consensus. Before attempting to understand what is happening at national level, we need to recognise the bigger picture, the context in which our own helotry is being engineered.

That picture is darkly dystopian. The EU project is a distorted attempt to recreate the unity of Christendom, but in the interests of the most fanatically anti-Christian agenda of which one could conceive: that of the Frankfurt School of Marxism. Economic Marxism is now the province of historians; cultural Marxism is carrying all before it. The fall of the Berlin Wall marked only the collapse of a failed model of state socialism. The rise of the European Union signals the resurgence of cultural Marxism, untrammelled by the need for Five Year Plans and regarding plutocracy as perfectly congenial.

Let the capitalists create wealth, is the new philosophy, so long as the state, through punitive taxation, is the largest beneficiary and dictates the mores of corporations, communities and individuals. The characteristics of cultural Marxism are materialism, statism, militant atheism, sexual nihilism, cultural shallowness and the sedulously fostered illusion of popular autonomy within what is actually a totalitarian system.

Its enemies are religion, the family, authentic as distinct from synthetic communities, tradition, national identity and homogenous culture. In recent decades the forces of cultural Marxism, spearheaded by the EU, have launched a ferocious attack upon all those unsympathetic institutions, increasingly employing legal coercion.

When the baffled voter looks at the three mainstream political parties and wonders why he cannot identify with any of them, his choice has been removed by supranational forces. He is alarmed by immigration and, so widespread is that concern, the snake-oil salesmen have adopted a cosmetic pretence of responding. Dave is babbling about an unspecified “cap”, Gordon pretends immigration is diminishing and Clegg wants to amnesty illegals.

None of that comes near meeting public concern. How is it that, in a cut-throat election contest, all three parties dare to defy the electorate? By consensus is the answer: so long as nobody breaks ranks, they can laugh at the mug punters, as they have done since the cross-party consensus was first formed in 1965 to abolish the death penalty against the will of the nation.

All three parties support the futile war in Afghanistan, which the public opposes; polls now show a majority of Britons wants to leave the EU, but none of the three parties would accord the promised referendum on the Lisbon Treaty, let alone an In/Out plebiscite. Every PC “hate law” and other oppressive measure enjoys tripartite support, since it is political and social death, within the bubble inhabited by the elite, to dissent from PC dogma.

It may not be possible to hold that line indefinitely. In this election the Liberal Democrats, who epitomise the PC consensus to the point of caricature, have irrationally become the conduit of electoral protest. That mistake will not be repeated. On Friday the BNP – the party that represents the antithesis of the PC consensus – published its manifesto. Its headline policies are: an end to immigration, withdrawal from Afghanistan and Britain’s exit from the European Union. If the main parties cannot see the writing on the wall they will have only themselves to blame.

THE ANTI CHRISTIAN FOREIGN OFFICE

The scurrilous attack on the Catholic Church by some idiot in the Foreign office shows clearly the anti Christian mentality of the other parties. They would not dare to attack a muslim leader. There would be riots, so why the difference in attitude.
It is because our traditions and heritage have been built on Christianity and thus must be mocked in the interests of "diversity" and "vibrance".
They even wanted the Pope to apologise for the Spanish Armada.
What's that hisorical event to do with the present Pope.

Now I am not a Catholic, indeed am a lapsed Anglican but am incensed at this insult.
Yesterday I was at a wedding, actually in a Catholic church, and it was a beautiful service and even though not a Catholic I FELT AT HOME.
I do not think I would have had the same feeling in a mosque at a muslim wedding as that faith is ALIEN to our land.

The "junior officials" have been "repremanded" BIG DEAL.
If they had been found out to have been a member of the BNP or insulted Mohammed they would have been instantly sacked, and that is what should happen to these anti Christian fools.

It is only a pity that theCof E clergy can not see the insidious danger that is threatening our culture. But then they seem to change their beliefs like the weather to be inclusive.
RUBBISH If you have a faith you stick by it. That is why your churches are empty.

YOU STAND FOR NOTHING.

The BNP does. IT STANDS FOR CHRISTIANITY.

Hat tip Bertie Bert. Thank you for the link.

I may not agree with his personal choice of who he's going to vote for, but I find it impossible to disagree with the overall message.

ANTI CHRISTIAN "CHRISTIANS"

Locally there have been or are to be several "hustings" in church properties where the various political parties can give their views.
However alone among the parties the BNP has not been invited, indeed some of these "Christian" leaders have published a letter in the local press asking people to vote against the BNP.
This shows firstly a contempt for democracy, and I hope an ignorance of what our party stands for.
We are THE ONLY party which endorses Christianity and wishes to preserve the predominantly Christian society which has served us so well for centuries.
Churches are empty, largely as a result of these misguided fools, and are increasingly being turned into mosques, seemingly without these so called "Christian" priests complaining.
Also Christians in muslim lands are increasingly persecuted and even killed.

At the present rate of colonisation of our country by muslims within 30 years ALL our churches could be turned into mosques, their Christian interiors desecrated and ancient graveyards bulldozed into car parks so that the new occupants can practice their religion, a religion alien to this land.
Senior muslims have stated that their aim is to take over Britain.

These so called "Christian"vicars and priests would be better employed encouraging people to vote BNP to avoid this scenario. They are either too unworldly or thick to realise the threat from islam.
Our forebears fought two world wars to save us from invasion by alien cultures but these idiots seem complicit in the destruction of all our heroes died for.

We as a party will keep going in spite of these priests. We have the determination they lack.
our motto? ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS.
They would do well to learn and follow that hymn.

HAPPY ST GEORGE'S DAY !

The History
St. George is the patron saint of England. His emblem and ours, a red cross on a white background, is the flag of England. It was adopted by Richard The Lion heart and brought to England in the 12th century. The king's soldiers wore it on their tunics to avoid confusion in battle.

St. George's Day is on April 23rd, so, in a sense, this is England's National Day.

Who was St George?

Who was St George? What is myth and what is fact? Did he really slay the Dragon? Why is he such a popular Saint, celebrated in so many Countries, Races, Religions and Organisations?

The celebration of St George's Day is currently fairly low key in England and much more celebrated elsewhere. However, the Society and its members are clearly succeeding in their constant efforts to revive St. George's Day as the day on which to celebrate being English.

There are many legends in many cultures about St. George, but they all have a common theme; he must have been an outstanding character in his lifetime, for his reputation to have survived for almost 1,700 years!

Most authorities on the subject seem to agree that he was born in Cappadocia in what is now Turkey, in about the year 280 AD. It is probable that from his physical description, he was of Darian origin, because of his tall stature and fair hair. He enlisted into the Cavalry of the Roman Army at the age of 17, during the reign of the Emperor Diocletian and very quickly established a reputation amongst his peers, for his virtuous behaviour and physical strength; his military bearing, valour and handsome good looks.

He quickly achieved the rank of Millenary or Tribunus Militum, an officer's rank roughly equivalent to a full Colonel, in charge of a regiment of 1,000 men and became a particular favourite of his Emperor. Diocletian was a skilled military tactician and strict disciplinarian, who set himself the task of rejuvenating the morale of the citizens of Rome by reviving the prevailing traditions and paganism of Rome. It may be recalled that this was a time of high inflation and civil unrest and one outcome of this was the increasing influence of Christianity.

Diocletian's second in Command was Galerius, the conqueror of Persia and an avid supporter of the Pagan religion. As a result of a rumour that the Christians were plotting the death of Galerius, an edict was issued that all Christian Churches were to be destroyed and all scriptures to be burnt. Anyone admitting to being a Christian, would lose his rights as a citizen, if not his life.

As a consequence, Diocletian took strict action against any alternative forms of religion in general and the Christian faith in particular. He achieved the reputation of being perhaps the cruellest persecutor of Christians at that time.

Many Christians feared to be loyal to their God; but, having become a convert to Christianity, St. George acted to limit the excesses of Diocletian's actions against the Christians. He went to the city of Nicomedia where, upon entering, he tore down the notice of the Emperor's edict. St. George gained great respect for his compassion towards Diocletian's victims.

As news spread of his rebellion against the persecutions St. George realised that, as both Diocletian and Galerius were in the city, it would not be long before he was arrested. He prepared for the event by disposing of his property to the poor and he freed his slaves.

When he appeared before Diocietian, it is said that St. George bravely denounced him for his unnecessary cruelty and injustice and that he made an eloquent and courageous speech. He stirred the populace with his powerful and convincing rhetoric against the Imperial Decree to persecute Christians. Diocietian refused to acknowledge or accede to St. George's reasoned, reproachful condemnation of his actions. The Emperor consigned St George to prison with instructions that he be tortured until he denied his faith in Christ.

St George, having defended his faith was beheaded at Nicomedia near Lyddia in Palestine on the 23rd of April in the year 303 AD.

Stories of St. George's courage soon spread and his reputation grew very quickly. He soon became known in Russia and the Ukraine as the Trophy Bearer and his remains are said to have been buried in the church that bears his name in Lydda. However, his head was carried to Rome, where it was preserved in the Church that is also dedicated to him.

St George was beatified by the Roman Catholic Church and is recognised in the liturgy of the Russian Orthodox and Greek Orthodox Churches as well as the Roman Catholic Church. He has been revered in the Ukraine since Christianity was established in 988 AD by Volodymyr the Great the Prince of the Kyivan empire. The Romanesque Monastic order in Prague established St. George's Church in the Castle in the year 920AD and in the year 1119 AD the Cathedral of St George was founded in Novgorod. His reputation for virtue and chivalrous conduct became the spiritual inspiration of the Crusaders and by this time the pennant or flag with a red cross on a white or silver background became prominent as a means of recognition by English Knights. It was also worn on breast plates.

In the year 1348 King Edward Ill established the Knights of the Garter, which is the oldest order of Chivalry in Europe. The Order of the Garter was dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Edward the Confessor and St George. The Insignia of the order consists of a collar and badge appendant known as the George, the Star, the Garter and the Sash with the Investment Badge called the lesser George. This is a gold and richly enamelled representation of St George on horseback slaying the dragon.

A similar representation of St George can be seen in our Armorial Bearings and in the collar and appendant that officers of The Royal Society wear.

In 1352 the College of St George was established in Windsor, with 6 Chorister boys and since then, St George's school has played an important role in the daily worship and on State Occasions in the Queen's Free Chapel of St George in Windsor Castle. By providing free education and sustenance for the boys, a priceless musical inheritance in choral worship has been established and their numbers increased until the Plague struck in 1479 when the numbers were reduced from thirteen to six again but recovered to thirteen by Michaelmas in 1482.

It was in the year 1415 AD that St. George became the Patron Saint of England when English Soldiers under Henry V won the battle of Agincourt.

In 1497 in the reign of Henry VIII, the pennant of the Cross of St. George was flown by John Cabot when he sailed to Newfoundland and it was also flown by Sir Francis Drake and Sir Walter Raleigh. In 1620 it was the flag that was flown by the Mayflower when the Pilgrim Fathers arrived in Plymouth Massachusetts. It is also the flag of the Church of England and as such is known throughout Christendom.

In the year 1728 AD Maximilian II Emanuel, the Elector of Bavaria, established by Papal Bull The Royal Military Order of St George, as a means of honouring distinguished military service for it was clear that by this time, his name had become associated with the purity of spirit, selfless devotion to duty and boundless courage and valour in the face of adversity. In more recent times, St George was chosen as the patron saint of Scouting, because of the ideals that he represents and it is interesting to note that he is also the Patron Saint of Barcelona in Catalonia, Aragon, Russia, Bavaria, Beirut, Czechoslovakia, Portugal, Lithuania and Hungary, to name but a few. Virtually every country in Europe and the Commonwealth has a church dedicated to St. George.

During World War 2 King George V1 established the George Cross for outstanding acts of Civilian Valour and one of the earliest recipients was the Island of Malta, for its outstanding courage in~ the face of the constant bombardment by the Italian and German Airforce. It is, coincidentally, the Island that was so closely associated and governed by the Crusaders who arrived from the Island of Rhodes in the 14" Century, following their 200 year war with the Turks.

The legends about St George spread far and wide and it was claimed that near the town of Silene in Libya, a dragon dwelt, keeping the population in terror. To satiate him the population tethered an animal, until they had no more. They then provided human sacrifices and in ultimate desperation, a young princess was selected, the king's daughter named Cleolinda. The story then relates how St. George rode up on his white charger, dismounted and fought the monster on foot; until it eventually succumbed. He then dragged the dying monster into the city, using the girdle of the Princess and slew the dragon in front of the people. St. George was greeted as their saviour and the King offered him a bag of gold as a reward for saving his daughter. This he refused and asked that it be given to the poor.

The story is a powerful allegory, emblematic of the triumph of good over evil; but it also teaches of enduring Christian faith in the extreme and the trust that at all times should be placed in the Almighty by the invocation of the name of St. George, Soldier, Saint and Martyr.

In the 13" Century, there was a Guild of St. George to which the Honourable Company of Pikemen were related before evolving into the Honourable Artillery Company. Many regiments of the Army still celebrate St. George's Day with great ceremony.

In Barcelona, it is traditional to give a book as a token of St. George's Day, whilst in Russia and the Ukraine the day is celebrated by Spring Festivals and Picnics to celebrate the end of winter. In the world of Scouting, it is the first day for camping.

You are ENGLISH!

That's a word you don't often hear these days isn't it. Me? I'm Welsh - a word you DO hear these days, along with Scottish, Cornish and Irish. But most of you reading this are none of those things: you are ENGLISH. Take my word for it. Honestly, I'm telling the truth, believe me. I'll say it again - ENGLISH! Start insisting on it; make sure your kids learn it, and make sure their schools teach them their history - even if it does mean they learn that their ancestors gave mine (and everyone else's) a kicking a time or two. Not many people in the whole world who haven't been on the receiving end of a English kicking. You are renowned for your history - everywhere but here that is. Why's that then? /rhetorical question - and the answer will stay the same until you get involved in the education of your kids.

You've got a history that I, as a Welshman, have always thought was worth killing for. Oh wait ... . It's a matter of pride in some places that the English took the trouble to give them a kicking, but at least they didn't find it easy in their particular case. And who do you English respect the most? That's right - the ones it was hardest to give an English kicking to. Germans for instance.

St. George's Day tomorrow - get those bloody flags out and on show. I'm going for a ride on the bus into town tomorrow and I expect to be dazzled by all the red and white I see fluttering in the wind. I like it when I see the English being aware of their Englishness - makes me feel that at last they perhaps understand that we Welsh are aware of our Welshness.

St.George's Day starts at midnight ...

JOB LOSSES IN MANCHESTER

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/5280762.stm

So British people are really doing well with a Labour/Corporate government, are they?

Tesco is culpable in other ways too, when it comes to job losses. They have recently introduced halal meat at one of their stores. We know where this is going, don't we?

Job losses for our people, job gains for mohammedans, as far as Tesco is concerned?

Morrisons for me then. Pure British, and with a good product range - and despite having it's corporate headquarters in Bradford, it has managed to resist the halal siren call of those mohammedans. Perhaps that's BECAUSE they are in Bradford and so know full well where it leads when you give mohammedans an inch ...

Incidentally - you might find it interesting to look up the true definition of Fascism, in light of my above Labour/Corporate government comment.

BNP - AN INCLUSIVE NON-RACIST PARTY.

"
Nick Griffin said today the BNP would effectively pull up the drawbridge in Barking and Dagenhamby making it an unattractive place for migrants to live.

“Quite simply, people from outside may not want to come to the borough. People who want to embrace diversity can find other places to go, like Newham,” he said.

Some BNP policies, including on migration, are at the fringes of legality. Mr Griffin claims his supporters would go to prison for their beliefs.

“There may be cases where we will defy a bad law on behalf of our voters,” he says.

Despite this, Mr Griffin was canvassing on the streets of Barking with a black pastor at his side. He claims the Rev James Gitau, who joined the far-Right party after it was forced to change its constitution to allow non-white members, proves it is no longer racist."

URGENT MESSAGE TO CANDIDATES

I have a template which can be adapted to fit all Wigan & Leigh candidates leaflets.
Our policies are all the same. We all know what is wrong with all parts of our area so let's publicise the deficiencies of both local and central government.
We must let people know that unlike the other parties we are not in it for the money, indeed it costs us.

COME ON YOU HONEST PATRIOTS. LET'S GET THESE THIEVING TRAITORS BACK.

If you e mail I will get you as many leaflets as you can distribute with any local issues on them.
Just let me know as time is short. Give me a day or so and I will get them done.
Ring or e mail me. You know who I am.

BNP ELECTION ODDS 11

BNP votes at the next General Election
Singles Only.
Applies to the total number of BNP votes at the next General Election according to the BBC.
Less than 500,000 1/4
500,000 to 1,000,000 9/4
1,000,001 to 1,500,000 8/1
1,500,001 to 2,000,000 16/1
More than 2,000,000 18/1

There is going to be at least 330 candidates standing to get over 500,000 votes each would have to get around 1500 votes. Considering a lot of seats will be getting more than that I would say the less than 500,000 price was too short.

The price for the BNP to win a seat is staying at around 3/1

BARKING 7/2
STOKE ON TRENT CENTRAL 12/1 another seat which you could have got 40/1 at the begining of the year
KEIGHLEY 20/1 DOWN FROM 40/1 since Andrew Brons was announced as candidate
THURROCK 20/1
DEWSBURY 28/1
DAGENHAM AND RAINHAM 33/1
BURNLEY 33/1
DUDLEY NORTH 40/1
STOKE ON TRENT SOUTH 40/1

IT CANNOT BE COMMON SENSE ...

To give the security services a carte blanche £12 billion to eavesdrop on all our personal electronic communications, when the problem lies with a minute and easily identifiable minority. Ditto for airport security

To carry on with the myth that globalist, deregulated neo-liberal economics are the future

To persevere with a correction system which clearly doesn't work. (And even dafter to build more prisons)

That educational standards and breadth are as good as forty years ago

To have life-survival products in private hands

To allow largely uncontrolled immigration when the country is already overburdened by social service costs, housing problems and acutely high population density

To extol the virtues of globalism when the planet faces such serious ecological problems

To have remote, all-powerful central government deciding on local and community issues. (And even dafter to make county, police and hospital districts bigger still.)

To allow a tiny minority to get richer and richer, and a sizeable minority to get poorer and poorer

To make billions of cheap, shoddy items we have to soon throw away when the Earth is already in need of more landfill space

Go read it all:

PROTECTING A SUPPORTER OF THUGS

We are often accused by surrounding our leader with "heavies" in dark coats and glasses which it is said shows us as thugs.
This picture taken from the Dail Mail shows the protection the UAF supporting Cameron gets at our expense. A policeman armed with a machine gun.
So that's OK but when our security people protect Nick Griffin against Cameron's dart throwing thugs it is seen as intimidatory.
I wonder what this state paid for "thug" would have done if a dart had been thrown against his effete master as was done by Cameron's UAF thugs to Nick.
Perhaps the perpetrator would have had one or two rounds sent in his direction.
At least we ourselves pay for our leaders protection and do not ask the taxpayer to do this.
Or is Cameron hated even more than even we thought.

THE TEN RULES OF BANKING

Read the rules here.

Morg

PEAK OIL?? TRY PEAK SOIL, INSTEAD.

oday we have the simultaneous events of income deflation and food inflation; two high-speed express trains coming down that tracks at each other, a financial crisis colliding with staggering crop losses, which are cutting deeply into available planetary food reserves.

Fertile soil is being lost faster than it can be replenished and will eventually lead to the “topsoil bank” becoming empty, an Australian conference heard. Chronic soil mismanagement and over farming causing erosion, climate change and increasing populations were to blame for the dramatic global decline in suitable farming soil, scientists said. An estimated 75 billion tonnes of soil is lost annually with more than 80 per cent of the world's farming land "moderately or severely eroded", the Carbon Farming conference heard.

Scientists in England are warning that a “perfect storm” of food shortages and water scarcity now threatens to unleash public unrest and conflict, the government’s chief scientist, Professor John Beddington, has warned.[i] “People do not quite realise the scale of the issue,” said Professor Mike Bevan. “This is one of the most serious problems that science has ever faced.” In Britain the lives of hundreds of thousands of people will be threatened by food shortages. The repercussions of food shortages for any society are devastating.

Please - DO read it all:

Then start doing what I've been doing for several years - stash enough food to keep you alive for at least a year.

It's the "increasing populations" bit that is the source of this and all other problems. So we import yet more millions of people into the country? We are governed by cretins!

Why is it that a scrote like me has been able to see this for years (and be considered mad for doing so) yet our supposed 'elders and "betters" ' can't?

Want to get, and keep, our numbers down to a sustainable level that we can feed from our own farming and fishing resources as an independent nation?

Then vote BNP.

I'd rather have food than "Diversity". Wouldn't you?

CHOICE AND DISCRIMINATION

Sorry for the absence of a blog, my wife's 65th birthday had to take precedence or my life would not have been worth living.

Just a quick thoutht today.
All the major parties are in favour of choice. No problems with that.
But then they say they are against discrimination.
Now when I did English at school the definitions of these two words were almost the same.
If I choose to got to a certain pub, shop or live in a certain area I am discriminating against the others.
If I am not allowed to discriminate I am being denied my choice which I am told I am entitled to.
I decided to live in Wigan as have my ancestors for 400 years. I discriminated against other areas as I am told is my right.
I have a right to live in the environment and with the people I grew up with and in the same culture. I chose to do so.
I DID NOT CHOOSE to have my town, my environment, my culture to be swamped by people with different cultures and ways of life and have these changes imposed on me by Westminster.
Yes these people are also entitled to their choice, but not to deprive me of my choice.
If the authorities belive that my exercising my choice of who I live with is discrimination , so be it.
I choose and therefore I discriminate, and I will always choose Wigan.
I would hope in the forthcoming elections electors will also discriminate between those imposed upon us and those like our three parliamentary candidates who CHOSE to spend their lives working and living in our area.
We will always discriminate in favour of Wiganers and Leythers whatever any one else or even our Party, the BNP says. The future prosperity of OUR AREA will always be foremost in our efforts. I can not see a conflict with Party policy and our desire to help our area but if there was a difference Wigan and Leigh would take priority.
WE ARE FIRST AND LAST WIGANERS AND LEYTHERS and would never follow a Party whip.

WHY can't we fly?

Read this to find out where that QUESTION came from

Why are the powers-that-be taking more notice of a computer model, than of actual discovered facts? Sounds a bit like the AGW controversy - they're relying on a computer model too, rather than discovered facts.

WIGAN & LEIGH BNP ASK: IS YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD GOOD FOR EMPLOYMENT BUT BAD FOR YOUR HEALTH?

The above indicators are in relation to the Leigh South Ward (WN7 2.)(BNP Candidate Mr. A. Lloyd will be standing in this ward).

I will be standing as the local British National Party candidate for the ATHERLEIGH WARD in the local elections as well as the PPC for the Leigh Constituency (which includes Atherleigh) and I will be standing against Leigh MP and Eddie Munster lookalike Andy "burn'em all" Burnham.

Little Andy above in his cute St.Catherine's school uniform.

....and the 'real' Eddie Munster here ...the little horror!

Below are the shocking statistics for the ATHERLEIGH Ward. So when your limp, British hating Labour/Conservative/Liberal or Ukip candidate comes knocking at the door begging for your vote - just tell them were to stick their grovelling pleas.

Only the BRITISH NATIONAL PARTY tells it how it really is and how it can and must be changed.

What is it like in your neighbourhood?

How does your neighbourhood compare with your local authority, or with England as a whole?
This Neighbourhood Summary provides information about your area to help answer these questions.

Just how deprived is your area after successive destructive and hateful governments?

ELECTORAL TOP GEAR

Below is an article from this week's Wigan observer which highlights our push in Wigan and Leigh. The picture of me is at least 5 years old and although I have not improved with age and look a bit scruffy there, I was at the time working full time as a farmer and thus in my work clothes
One thing the picture does show on close inspection, I was wearing a Wigan Rugby League tee shirt so my claim to be a true Wiganer is borne out by the photo.
We have had a very busy week organising candidates and preparing our election campaign. Deposits have had to be given out to candidates over the North West and now it is leaflet time.

Fortunately we have had offers of help and we should be able to manage to put up a fair show in this mammoth task.
Parliamentary leaflets have been printed paid for out of local funds and will be delivered by the Post Office. These are the best we have produced and will lift our profile.
Our three parliamentary candidates are campaigning on our local origin. We have not been imposed on the area from on high in an effort to gain politiclly correct "diverse" MPs as our representitives.
This week I had a leaflet from the Tory candidate for Makerfield. An attractive looking woman but her name shows she is not of English descent. She will not be able to empathise with our concerns . She is at the bottom of the greasy Tory pole trying to shin up to power in that sham party which is trying to demonstrate its "diverse" credentials to the electorate.
She will not get in of course but it will make Cameron look good with his multiculti Metropolitan elite.
The Labour candidate, in line for a cosy job for life she hopes is also not local and has had her leaflets printed in Essex. No doubt she is on line with New labour and PC.
Wiganers and Leythers do NOT want to be diverse nor be used by the elite of the bigger parties to further their policies.
We need and want local people who have a bond to our area and will work to reverse the neglect of several decades. That is why I am standing for Wigan.
I believe in Wigan AND WILL DO THE JOB FOR NOTHING. I want to put something into Wigan, NOT TO MILK THE TOWN.
Yes I can afford to do so but so can many MPs in all parties BUT THEY DONT.
Do these other candidates really care about our town? I doubt it.
WELL I DO, and I'm putting my money where my mouth is.

UK IMMIGRATION - REUTERS INDIA

Here are some facts about inward migration in Britain, the policies of the main political parties and those of minor ones, like the anti-immigration British National Party (BNP), whose resurgence analysts say could erode support for the big three parties in some areas.

MAKING SENSE OF THE FIGURES

* The Office of National Statistics (ONS) says net inward migration to the UK is up threefold since Labour came to power. It increased from 48,000 per year in 1997 to 163,000 per year in 2008. New entrants peaked at 237,000 in 2007 before falling back.

* According to a London School of Economics (LSE) pre-election report, 10.2 percent of Britain's population is foreign-born (based on OECD 2007 figures).

* LSE report says inward flows have fallen since 2006, and from late 2008 the pool of immigrants has shrunk due to the recession.

* Migrants from Central and Eastern Europe from countries that joined the European Union in 2004 fell 32 percent in the year to June 2009 (ONS).

* Interior ministry (Home Office) says asylum applications dropped 30 percent in the final quarter of 2009 compared with the last quarter of 2008.

* Home Office says provisional figures show 30 percent more people were allowed to settle in the UK in 2009 versus 2008.

* Pool of immigrants has risen in all regions, but most in London followed by West Midlands and Greater Manchester (LSE).

* Immigrants made up 39 percent of London's population in 2009 (LSE).

* Migrants are arriving from more countries than ever before, with the most coming from Poland, India and Pakistan, followed by South Africa and the United States (LSE).

* An LSE report commissioned by the Mayor of London estimated there were 725,000 illegal immigrants in the UK in 2007.

* UK (with 10.2 percent) has a lower share of foreign-born people than Australia (25 percent), Germany (12.9 percent) or the United States (13.6 percent).

And look at how the British are portrayed.
As Ignorant illiterates

"* Immigrants are on average more educated than their UK-born counterparts. More than half of the UK-born workforce left school at 16 or earlier, but fewer than one in six new immigrants stopped education at 16 (LSE study)."

And how they compare Britain (an Island) to Australia (an Continent)

"* UK (with 10.2 percent) has a lower share of foreign-born people than Australia (25 percent), Germany (12.9 percent) or the United States (13.6 percent)."

THE THREE STOOGES

As you know I take a keen interest in politics, I must do otherwise I would not be doing this blog.
The much awaited televised debate last night turned out to be even more boring than I thought, so boring that I fell asleep half way through, a first for me in a political programme.
The three lightweight leaders waffled on with their usual platitudes while failing to answer any serious questions.

On immigration there was no mention that it must STOP if we are to remain a British country and not become a minority in our own land.
If occasionally we need a foreign expert he could come on a work permit and go home when his job finished.
Talk about reducing numbers and counting them in and out misses the point.

They talked about the NHS and how immigrants were important to the running of the service. It didn't say much about decades of Labour and Tory education when they seem unable to train care assistants, nurses and doctors, but Africa can?

The claim by Brown that you could get for the first time a GP appointment in the evening is laughable and shows how far he is removed from reality.
When I was working we were always available from 8 AM until 8 PM and had Saturday surgeries. Now we must rely on foreign doctors with little English and dodgy qualifications.

Clegg on class sizes says they want to reduce them to under 20.
When I was at primary school we had 35 per class in old buildings were well taught with good teachers and DISCIPLINE.
It's not the buildings or class sizes but the teachers and discipline which count most.
Cameron stating that his children go to state schools, (yea for now) and the best ones he can find, not the local "bog standard" local comp that most have to put up with.

On the economy no real mention on how to cut the deficit to a meaningful degree. No mention of the cost of illegal wars, the EU ,the spiralling cost of foreign aid and asylum.
He thinks increasing National Insurance is putting into the economy. No Gordon, you are NOT the economy. Leave the money in people's and industries pockets. These are the REAL economy
and what we need to pull us out of the mire he has created. Higher taxes stifle the economy.
Clegg's "idea" to cut taxes for the low paid is old BNP policy.

I did hear Clegg say that he would scrap our nuclear deterrent saving £2.5 billion per year.
Does he not realise that is the reason we fear North Korea and potentially Iran? They are or will be nuclear powers. A nuclear deterrent is a last resort, hopefully never to be used but an insurance policy against those who would attack us.

I'm sorry I can't go into more detail about this uninspiring "debate" as I was dozing most of the time and then fell asleep.
Who needs sleeping tablets when these three stooges are on telly.
